This year's play, "Wireless”, was about four teenagers that find their school, along with everyone in it, has unexpectedly turned into a cell phone complete with social media, apps, ads, and everything else included on the web. During their journey to escape the phone and set their world back to normal, the teenagers face many obstacles. They must learn how to work together and use their own strengths in order to defeat the evil SIM card, who has taken control of the school.
Students recited lines, used props, and learned how to act/react to each other's lines and their position on stage.
During tryouts, students read lines from multiple characters and scenes to see which character best fits their skills; they were evaluated based on their voice (volume, inflection, and tone), body expression, and facials.
