The Flood Watch continues for * Portions of southeast Kansas and Missouri, including the following areas, in southeast Kansas, Bourbon, Cherokee, and Crawford. In Missouri, Barry, Barton, Benton, Camden, Cedar, Christian, Dade, Dallas, Dent, Douglas, Greene, Hickory, Howell, Jasper, Laclede, Lawrence, Maries, McDonald, Miller, Morgan, Newton, Oregon, Ozark, Phelps, Polk, Pulaski, Shannon, St. Clair, Stone, Taney, Texas, Vernon, Webster, and Wright. * Through late tonight * Widespread rainfall is expected to range from roughly an inch to an inch and a half. Soil conditions along with the lack of vegetation in the winter time will contribute to increased flooding potential. * Flooding of low water crossings and low lying roadways near streams, creeks, and rivers will be possible, creating potentially dangerous travel conditions on roads susceptible to flooding.
